Beer of the month

The first part of this pages contains a special beerlabel from my latest beerupdate. I try to tell a bit more about the label, occasion or brewery. The second part will show all the previous special labels. I started this page with the 4000th and 5000th beerlabel in my collection of selftasted beers.

Mein Nelson Sauvin, or TapX, was the beer of the month ia the dutch ABT cafe's during the month october 2011. Normaly only on draft, but for this occasion also bottled in 75cl.

Previous beer of the month's

2011-12		Murder Ale - USA Estes Park Brewery Ale - United States Redrum/Murder Ale is one of the six different beers from this brewery that I tasted. Maybe not the best beer but there is a story behind it. It refers to the Stanley Hotel Estes Park from the film "The Shining".
2010-10		Golden Raand Blond - NED - Citybrewery De Krommejat Blond - Netherlands A new brewery in my hometown Groningen with a few excellent beers has to provide the label for the "beer of the month" page. The Golden Raand blond is a perfect blond beer with 7.5%. Ther are also a tripel and a special brew available.
2010-09		Black IPA - NED - Emelisse India Pale Ale - Nederland This beer from brewery Emelisse is choosen beer of the month because it is one of my favorite beertypes. They changed the labels recently and came witje a few new beers.
2010-08		ØRBÆK VINTAGE BEER 2008 - Ørbæk Bryggeri Barley Wine - Denmark Sometimes its hard to choose the beer of the month label. In this update is was clear it had to be a Danish beer. This Barley Wine is a unique beer in my collection I guess. I'm always pleasently surprised how many good beers come from Denmark these days!
2011-05		MAALLUST VIENNA BIER - Brewery Maallust Vienna - The Netherlands Maallust Vienna is a special beer from the new Dutch brewery Maallust. This beertype (Vienna) is very rare these days unfortuanetly. The brewery is unique in its connection withe the local traditions. You can see it for example by the use of the fonttype on there labels. It is the same as you can find on the facade of the tradional buildings in the village of Veenhuizen.
2011-04		RARE VOS - Brewery De Ommegang Ale - Unites States Beer from this American brewery was on my wishlist for a long time. After the appearance in the Belgian TV-program "Tournee Generale" in 2009 I became curious and wanted to find out more about this brewery with Belgische roots. The brewery was founded in 1997 and a part of the Duvel familie and is famous fot its Belgian Styled Ales!
2011-03		STOUT + MOEDIG - Brewery De 7 Deugden Stout - Netherlands A great beer from this new dutch brewery in Amsterdam. I tasted it at the opening of the brewery on march the 5th. I tasted six beers, most of them has a surprising taste. Its worth to try to get a beer from this brewery!
2011-02		HUE BEER EXPORT - Hue Brewery LTD Pilsener Vietnam This beer might be one of the common beers from Vietnam, in my collection its special because it became the 8000th label in my collection of tasted beers. I got it from Rias who went to Vietnam for a vacation.

2009-05		GRUNN OERPILSNER - Groningse Citybrewery Kolsch - Nederland The 7000e label in my collection is from the Groningse Stadsbrouwerij. Under the button "Gronings bier" there's more to find about this brewery including all the beerlabels that came out so far.
2007-08		LA CLANDESTINE - Brasserie des Vignes Blondbier - Frankrijk The 6000the label in my collection was a beer bought by my friend Robert MacDonald from France.
2004-09		5000 BIER - Groningse Citybrewery Tarwebier - Nederland The 5000e label in my collection is a special beerlabel from the "Groningse Stadsbrouwerij". The brewery is looking for a brew location in Groningen. Until they find a good lacation the beers are brewed (with the recepies from the "Groningse Stadsbrouwerij") in other breweries. 2002-05		NGAHERE GOLD - Harringtons Christchurch Pilsener - New Zealand The 4000e beerlabel in my collection. Thanks to Rias Nuninga. He bought the beer during his stay in New Zealand.
