Beer of the month

The first part of this pages contains a special beerlabel from my latest beerupdate. I try to tell a bit more about the label, occasion or brewery. The second part will show all the previous special labels. I started this page with the 4000th and 5000th beerlabel in my collection of selftasted beers.

Ciel Bleu IPA- NED - Brouwerij het IJ
India Pale Ale - Nederland
This beer was specialy made for the restaurant Ciel Bleu in Amsterdam. It's one of the first new beers after the opening of a second location in Amsterdam. The brewery had to expand because of the increased popularity of the IJ beers. It's worth visiting the brwery when you are in Amsterdam.

2013-03		Wintersplinter - NED - Leidschbier Imperial Porter - Netherlands Wintersplinter was a present for the visitors of the 20th edition of the Pint Winterbierfestival in Gouda (Netherlands). Its a stronger version of Morsporter, also from the Leidschbier brewery, therefore the addition of Imperial in the beername.
2012-02		Uil Pale Ale - NED - Brewery het Uiltje Haarlem Uiltje is a new dutch brewery and therefore new in my collection. The brewery is named after his founder Robert Uyleman. This great India Pale Ale makes me curious and I cant wait to get more of there beers to Groningen.
2012-12		Beerskey, Higly Peated - NED - Muifelbrewery Berghem This rather small Dutch brewery has some excellent beers. Most off them are bottled but sometimes the beer only is available on draft. This Whiskey beer fortuanatly was bottled. It has a great taste, its not only the whiskey you taste, there are more flavours to discover.
2012-11		Golden Raand Speciaal, Open dag 2012 - NED - Stadsbrouwerij De Kromme Jat Special beer brewed at the special opening for public earlier this year by the newest brewery from my hometown Groningen; De Kromme Jat. Just outside the center of town you can find this new micro brewery with some interresting beers. Although in Dutch, a lot more information about Kromme Jat can be found on my website, with lots of pictures.
2012-10		Uut Grunn Blond Pilsner - BEL - Brouwerij Het Anker Mechelen Blond - Belgie This beer is only sold in the region of Groningen and a part of a product range with local stuff. Although brewed in Belgium it fits in the concept. There is a special facebook site.
2012-09		Bruisend en Blond Kort Amerikaans 100 - NED - Oersoep Brouwerij Nijmegen India Pale Ale - Nederland A new brewery in the Netharlands and what a great beers they make. So far I tasted three of the about 10 beers they brewed so far. I bought at there webshop and was surprised by the great quality of the beers
2012-07		Falken Zwickelbier - SUI - Brauerei Falken Schaffhausen Pilsener - Switserland Near the famous waterfalls in the Rhein, a big suisse brewery with a lot off (most German styled) beers. On the website you can find some great 360 panoramic views
2012-06		Vollmond bier - GER - Brauerei Schussenrieder Pilsener - Germany Vollmond Bier is one of the beers i tasted during my stay in the South of Germany this month. It became the 9000th beerlabel in my collection. Vollmond Beer is only brewed when there is a full moon. The brewery has a museum as well and should be visited.
2012-05		Brewed 2B - NED - Houtens Brouw Collectief Honingbier - Netherlands Besides the great label, the new beer from "The Houtens Brouwcollectief" is also fantastic. Its a refreshing beer with a slight touch of Honey. Although it is a Honeybeer, its not to sweet and therefore easy and pleasently to drink.
2012-04		Gooisch Zwart - NED - Gooische Bierbrouwerij Schwarzbier - Netherlands Zwart is one of the 2 beers from the new dutch brewery-tennant the Gooische Bierbrouwerij. There will be a 3th beer, Gooisch Wit. Schwarzbier is a beertype that isn't brewed much in the Netherlands. De beere from the Gooische are 100% biologique and contain buckwheat. Gooisch Zwart for me is a great new beer!

Special beers of the month

2012-06		Vollmond bier - GER - Brauerei Schussenrieder Pilsener - Germany Vollmond Bier is one of the beers i tasted during my stay in the South of Germany. It became the 9000th beerlabel in my collection. Vollmond Beer is only brewed when there is a full moon. The brewery has a museum as well and should be visited.
2011-02		HUE BEER EXPORT - Hue Brewery LTD Pilsener - Vietnam This beer might be one of the common beers from Vietnam, in my collection its special because it became the 8000th label in my collection of tasted beers. I got it from Rias who went to Vietnam for a vacation.
2009-05		GRUNN OERPILSNER - Groningse Citybrewery Kolsch - Nederland The 7000e label in my collection is from the Groningse Stadsbrouwerij. Under the button "Gronings bier" there's more to find about this brewery including all the beerlabels that came out so far.
2007-08		LA CLANDESTINE - Brasserie des Vignes Blondbier - Frankrijk The 6000the label in my collection was a beer bought by my friend Robert MacDonald from France.
2004-09		5000 BIER - Groningse Citybrewery Tarwebier - Nederland The 5000e label in my collection is a special beerlabel from the "Groningse Stadsbrouwerij". The brewery is looking for a brew location in Groningen. Until they find a good lacation the beers are brewed (with the recepies from the "Groningse Stadsbrouwerij") in other breweries. 2002-05		NGAHERE GOLD - Harringtons Christchurch Pilsener - New Zealand The 4000e beerlabel in my collection. Thanks to Rias Nuninga. He bought the beer during his stay in New Zealand.
